Team: Santurce Cangrejeros

In the team's early days, the Cangrejeros signed star players from the Negro Leagues including Josh Gibson.  While the strategy proved successful, the team did not win any championships in the 1940's. The Cangrejeros doubled down on this strategy and became a powerhouse in the 1950's and 60's by signing major league stars. The team won 7 league championships and 3 Caribbean Series titles during this time
