The Maroons shared Montreal with the Canadiens but were more focused on an English- speaking fanbase, while the Canadiens had a primarily French-Canadian following. The team is still notable for playing in the longest playoff game in pro hockey history, which they lost 1-0 in 6 overtimes. During the Great Depression it became clear that only one team could survive in Montreal and the Maroons ceased play in 1938 with the Canadiens getting the rights to many of their players. Ownership attempted to move or sell what remained of the team for another 9 years with St Louis and Philadelphia mentioned as possible destinations, but the funding to revive the team never emerged.

Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
