The Baltimore Bombers were a proposed pro football team in the mid 90's. The team was a finalist for league expansion in 1995, but was ultimately rejected when the league selected the Carolina and Jacksonville. During this time, the Baltimore Stallions were very successful in the CFL, showing the potential fan base for a new NFL team. The following season, Art Modell moved the Browns to Maryland, where they became the Ravens.
