The Yanks began in Boston in 1944, when the Giants refused to share New York with another team. The club eventually found its way to the Big Apple in 1949, when it was believed the AAFC, and it's New York-based team, was about to fold. The AAFC team in Brooklyn closed-up shop after the 1948 season. Despite four hall of famers, the team never had much success on the field. After the 1951 season, the club's assets were sold to a group that would form the Dallas Texans.
