The Bulldogs are an often overlooked franchise. Originally rejected by the National Hockey Association, the team was forced to sit out a season in 1910. The team was accepted the following year and won back to back Stanley Cups in 1912 and 1913. The team attempted to join the NHL but again was rejected and forced to remain dormant for multiple seasons. In 1919 the team played one season in the NHL before it was sold.
