One of the original Arena teams, the Commandos were won only a total of 4 games in 3 seasons. After the team folded, Redskins owner Daniel Snyder announced his intention to replace the Commandos with a new arena team called the "Washington Warriors". While the Warriors never happened, the Redskins were eventually renamed an almost identical name "Washington Commanders".
