Coached by College Football Hall of Famer Jack Pardee, the Barracudas posted a 10-8 record in their one Canadian league season. Owner Art Williams ensured the "'Cudas'' would play their home games on Sundays to avoid conflict with local high school and college football, but it wasn't enough, and attendance dropped severely in the second half of the season. After the season, Williams demanded the league move to a spring schedule which was declined and the team folded after just one season.
