After being left out of the WHA/NHL merger in 1979, the Cincinnati Stingers joined the minor Central Hockey League (CHL) but lasted only 33 games before folding in 1980. After a year without a hockey team, the Queen City welcomed the Cincinnati Tigers in 1981. The team was operated by the Maple Leafs. The Tigers averaged just 1,500 fans a game in Riverfront Coliseum, leading the Leafs to pull the plug after only one year. Following an eight-year drought, hockey returned to Cincinnati in 1990 in the form of the ECHL Cyclones.
This product is an historical representation of the defunct team in the description. The product is in no way affiliated with any existing team, league or other organization.
