The Brigade entered the AFL when the New Orleans VooDoo were forced to suspend operations due to Hurricane Katrina. The team's best season came in 2007, but after the 2008 season were also forced to suspend operations due to financial problems. The team returned in 2011 renamed the Command, but was never able to capture the 2007 success and folded in 2012.
