After failing multiple times on the east coast, including stints as the New York Raiders and the New York Golden Blades, the Jersey Knights of the World Hockey Association (WHA) moved to California and became the San Diego Mariners in 1974. Two years later, fast food magnate Ray Kroc bought the club. The team was competitive, making the playoffs every season with stars like Harry Howell, Andre Lacroix, and Ernie Wakely. However, despite the on-ice success, it became apparent there wasn't a huge appetite for ice hockey in San Diego. Kroc spent most of the team's existence trying to sell the team until it finally folded. Oddly, the Mariners averaged around 6,000 fans a game, where their predecessors, the original San Diego Gulls, drew around 8,000 in the late 1960s.

      Changes and Cancellations:

      Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

      Once the order status has changed to COMPLETED the order cannot be cancelled, changed or refunded.

      Expedited Shipping will not speed up production time. Please contact us if you need your jersey by a certain date.

      Returns/Exchanges:

      All custom jersey sales are final.

      If a jersey arrives damaged or with errors, we will remake it at no charge or a process a full refund.
