The Hawks played in a variety of leagues and served as an unofficial minor league affiliate of the Atlanta Falcons. In 1969, the Falcons played an exhibition game against the Hawks, playing mostly rookies and beat them 55-0. Whether the game had any effect is unknown, but it would prove to be the final season for the Hawks.
