The Chaparrals, charter members of the American Basketball Association (ABA) in 1967, were known for their extremely wealthy ownership group, which ironically had a reputation for being cheap. The team rarely signed its draft picks and the lack of investment from ownership translated to a lack of interest from fans. Despite having hall of famer Cliff Hagan as a player coach and a solid team that made the playoffs every season, fans rarely showed. The team briefly became the Texas Chaparrals and played home games in various cities around the state which only made attendance worse. After not making the playoffs for the first time in 1973 the team was sold and moved to San Antonio.

Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
