The first Hollywood Stars baseball team was established in 1926. when the Salt Lake City Bees relocated to the L.A. Basin. The club shared Wrigley Field with fellow L.A. team, the Angels, who were also their landlords. When the Stars rent doubled they moved south to San Diego where they became the Padres. In 1938, the Mission Reds moved south from San Francisco. After a year in Wrigley, they moved to Gilmore Stadium in the Fairfax neighborhood of L.A., where CBS Television City now stands. With the arrival of the Dodgers, the Stars moved to Salt Lake City in 1957.
