In 1985, the Baltimore Colts had just moved to Indianapolis and were playing in the brand new Hoosier Dome. It was time for an MLB team in the city. Led by Art Angotti, a new ownership group began preparing for a new team and sold 12,000 season tickets for the new Indianapolis Arrows. The problem was the Hoosier Dome could not be converted into a baseball field. With no money for another new stadium in Indianapolis, the dream of the Arrows died soon after.
