The Los Angeles White Sox began as a team of negro leagues all stars in the California Winter League where they competed against both black and white teams. They were one of the few black teams of their time to own their own ballpark, with White Sox Park having some of the largest dimensions of all time measuring 546 feet to the center field fence. It is unclear what happened to the team who disappeared from league records in the late 1920's, but the White Sox reappeared in the West Coast Negro League in 1946.
