Calgary was the third home of the team that began in 1972 as the Philadelphia Blazers, charter members of the World Hockey Association (WHA). After one season in Pennsylvania, where they competed against the Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL), the team moved to British Columbia, became the Vancouver Blazers, and competed with the NHL club there, the Vancouver Canucks, for two seasons. Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
